Getting Ready for Mount Paka

On Wednesday Teresa and I are hiking up Mount Paka to visit the Pokot tribe. We will only be staying 2 nights because there is no water there. We're loading down Teresa's truck with as much water as we can to last us a couple days. We'll be camping out in tents while we're there...I'm so excited!
Teresa has been working with Cove Church in Huntsville, AL raising money for a well there. All the money is raised, Praise Jesus.
While at Paka I'll be taking pictures of drill sites to send to Water Missions International, the people drilling the well, so they can see if it's a good place geographically to drill.
Finding water on Mount Paka has been very hard for them because 2 of the sites they chose didn't have water, and the site now needs to be drilled even further down. There's a drilling company that can drill the depth needed, but hauling equipment up the mountain is risky, and they're not even sure if they can. The Pokot tribe desperately needs water! They drink goat blood, and urine from cattle to keep themselves hydrated in the hot sun. Lots of prayers needed for the well!!
Prep time for Paka. Campout in the backyard!
